Some venues are already a set design. Le 9e, at the top of the Centre Eaton, is one of them: an Art Deco room designed in 1931 by Jacques Carlu after the dining room of the Île-de-France ocean liner, returned to the public after twenty-five years behind closed doors. For this theme dinner, the challenge was not to create an era. It was to dress it without casting a shadow over it.

A curved bar with a gold fan motif that echoes the lines of the original décor. A Gatsby-inspired stage beneath the heritage mural. An entrance lined with palms and candles to announce the passage. Floral arrangements and candlelight that complete rather than cover. The venue stayed the star, and the décor became its extension.
