Be at one with both your company’s values and those of your guests

Organising an event often creates negative effects on the environment, whether through overconsumption of paper, greenhouse gas emissions, or food waste. On average 62 500 plates, 87 500 napkins, 75 000 cups and 90 000 cans or water bottles are thrown away during a 5-day congress of 2,500 delegates!

Nowadays, we can no longer consider holding an event with such an ecological footprint. Luckily, Happening has an expertise in this field, and can help guide you in the planning process in order to preserve the environment and increase the positive social and economic impacts.

Sustainable Development Training

The Happening team is proud to hold a Certificate of Sustainable Development MC – Level 1 – Engagement, issued by Écocert, following a one-year training program (Parcours Développement durable) which was offered to 20 Montreal-based specially-selected businesses. This training has allowed us to integrate global sustainable development best practices, and to find innovative solutions suited to your event.

Responsible event planning

Having your event certified will further prove your dedication to the environment. With its acquired expertise, Happening can guide and accompany you to have your event certified in sustainable development by the Provincial BNQ 9700-253. Not only your guests and partners but really everyone will recognise your social involvement through this certification.

Refurbished and recycled furniture and accessories

Our inventory is continually renewed in a sustainable manner, reusing furniture and recycled materials, as well as utilizing television and movie props and accessories. Furthermore, Happening purchased a thermoplastic press in order to create panels made entirely of recycled plastics to create one-of-a-kind furniture.

Less consumption, more creation.
